On the 28 November 2008 the day had finally arrived, EKF-diagnostic GmbH welcomed guests and participants to the annual lactate information day, already the fifth event of its kind taking place. This year sports-, training and medical scientists gathered in the town of Burscheid to be informed about the latest trends of the lactate performance diagnostics. In their speeches the speakers particularly referred to the physiological and metabolical basics as well as to the training recommendations determined from the lactate performance diagnostics. Further emphasis was laid on presentations of analysis software. A speaker of RBM electronics discussed the importance of the specifics of a respective kind of sport in relation to the ergometry and demonstrated test- and training functions including the lactate analysis on the high performance ergometer Cyclus2. In line with the event’s tradition, level tests were carried out on the Cyclus2 at the conclusion of the event. The tests were evaluated using the Winlaktat software of Mesics GMBH. Furthermore the well established lactate measurement devices BIOSEN and Lactate SCOUT of EKF-diagnostic GmbH were used for measuring the lactate values. The event was organized with excellence and radiated an atmosphere of high interest with many a fruitful and creative discussions taking place among the participants.
