Cyclus2 - Handbike test station (TU Munich)

The idea for the interdisciplinary research project (funded by the Federal Institute for Sports Sciences) with the objective to systematically examine and optimise the handbike as a disabled sports device came from a number of active handbike athletes. The objective is to scientifically analyse handbike and athlete in order to optimise the gear mechanism in respect of an improved adjustment thereof to the biomechanical ratios of the hand-arm-system. The project forms a cooperation of the Department of Sports Devices and Materials (Prof. Dr.-Ing Dipl. Sportl. V. Senner), the chair holder of the Sports- and Health Foundation (Prof. Dr. med. R. Oberhoffer, prov. head of department) and the chair holder of the Ergonomy Department (Prof. Dr. rer.nat. H. Bubb) at the University of Munich.
