Track simulation
The simulation of training- or tournament tracks is one of the outstanding features of the Cyclus2 ergometer. The latest state of the art hardware controls the brake force of the ergometer in such a realistic scenario that no difference to the real conditions on the road is detectable. That means for the racing cyclist that, depending on the velocity, weight and material, he has got to fight the
- air resistance
- downhill force
- rolling friction
This makes the ergometer available for cyclists and coaches to use for an optimal preparation for new and unknown tournament tracks. The initialization of the ergometer with the track data is fairly straight forward and can be done as follows:
- import of previously recorded GPS cycling computer tracks (e.g. Garmin Edge)
- import of geographical data of tours marked in cartographic programmes (e.g. TrainingPeaks) or
- menue-driven manual input.
