Isokinetický test maximální síly

The Isokinetic Maximum Strength Test belongs to the category of anaerobe test procedures in performance diagnostics, like the Wingate Anaerobic Test. The Isokinetic Maximum Strength Test, unlike the Wingate-Test, is carried out in the isokinetic load mode. During the isokinetic mode the test person has to work with maximum intensity to maintain a preset target cadence. The Cyclus2 continuously exerts the respective counter force increasing the brake force in reference to the acceleration and tolerance within the preset cadence limit. Commonly known and used types of the Isokinetic Maximum Strength Test are the Torque-Test, also known as Traction Force Test, the Anaerobe Test according to the German Cyclists Association and the Isokinetic 90-s Maximal Test according to Lorenz et. al..

The Torque Test is run as a series of Isokinetic Maximum Strength Tests at various cadences (70, 90, 110 und 130). The duration for each test is 6s interspersed with an active recreation phase of 4 minutes. With this method especially the alactacide performance of the test person can be appraised. The Torque Test is part of the complex performance diagnostics in the German Cyclists Association. The test parameters can be easily and user-friendly set in the configuration window.

Isokinetic Maximum Strength Test

The result of one test segment is the maximum pedal force at the preset cadence limit. The test results and the graphic progression thereof are shown during the analysis on the Cyclus2. Up to 1500Watts can be reached during the test at times by the test person. This lies well within the range of the technical parameters of the Cyclus2.

The Cyclus2 provides easy and direct printing of the results via a connected printer. The logo of the institute or medical practise can be placed in the upper right corner of the print-out.

The result of the Torque Test is the curve of the performance over the cadence. Points of reference are the maximum values of the performance power at the preset cadence. The analysis of the torque test is carried out on the personal computer using a MS Excel spread sheet template. The test data exported from the Cyclus2 are then imported into the template and the analysis is generated automatically.

Anaerobic Test according to the German Cyclists Association

Another common test in the isokinetic operation mode is the Anaerobic Test according to the German Cyclists Association. The cadence and the duration of the test are configured according to the gender and the type of cycling discipline (e.g. men/endurance/road: 75 seconds, 110 min-1). It is an exhaustion test and the test duration is more than 40 seconds in any case. Objective of the test is to determine the maximum post-performance-value of the lactate concentration, i.e. the test person’s lactate capacity. The test is an excellent opportunity to try out the range of functionality the Cyclus2 has to offer.

Isokinetic 90-s-Maximal Test according to Lorenz et. al.

The Isokinetic 90-s-Maximal Test was developed at the Technical University of Munich by Lorenz et. al. on the basis of the Wingate Anaerobic Test. The test duration is 96 seconds at a cadence of 90 or 80. The versatile characteristics of the Cyclus2 also cover this test.
